MISSION STATEMENT

AASSA’s mission is to provide and promote programs and services to member schools to enhance the quality of American International Education.  As an organization, AASSA values service leadership, quality and effectiveness.

 

VISION STATEMENT

AASSA is a financially healthy, vibrant, membership-driven, inclusive organization whose visionary leadership provides cutting edge, relevant programs and timely, cost-effective services.

VALUES

Service Leadership shows the way to the future, being responsive to member school needs.  It provides opportunities for school growth through professional development, building pride in membership and collegiality.

Quality of service provides for sustainability of leadership, programs and services.  It meets or exceeds expectations of the membership by being data-driven and research based, presenting the most current material through careful, discriminating selection of the best personnel, programs and services for delivery.

Effective organizations are financially healthy, maintaining fiscal stability and availability of discretionary resources for service delivery.  They are proactive and provide both timely information on programs and services and timely response to member needs and requests.

 

STRATEGIC GOALS

STRATEGIC GOAL #1:  AASSA member schools will be satisfied with programs and services that are delivered.

Strategic Objectives:

  1. At least 85% of member schools will see AASSA services as cost effective for them.
  2. At least 85% of member schools will see the range of services AASSA offers as meeting their expectations.
  3. At least 85% of member schools will say that AASSA services are of high quality.
  4. At least 85% of member schools will see AASSA professional development programs/conferences as cost effective for them.
  5. At least 85% of member schools will see the range of professional development programs/conferences AASSA offers as meeting their expectations.
  6. At least 85% of member schools will say that AASSA professional development programs/conferences are of high quality.
  7. At least 85% of AASSA members will say that AASSA professional development programs contribute to the improvement of their educational programs.
  8. At least 85% of AASSA members will say that they are generally satisfied with their membership in AASSA.

 

 

STRATEGIC GOAL #2:  AASSA membership will be large enough to assure critical mass for program support.

Strategic Objectives:

  1. At least 75% of total income will come from membership dues and program/service fees.
  1. At least 75% of the membership will use a majority of the programs/services provided by the Association.

 

STRATEGIC GOAL #3:  AASSA’s image will reflect its mission and vision.

  1. At least 85% of member schools will describe AASSA as a membership-driven organization.
  2. At least 85% of member schools will describe AASSA as responsive to member needs.

  5. At least 75% of identified external organizations will describe AASSA as a membership-driven organization.
