General Information for Recruiters

This year's AASSA Recruiting Fair will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn near Atlanta Airport from December 4 - 7, 2008. The schedule of events is posted on the first tab (Recruiting Fair Schedule) under Recruiting for Administrators and Teachers.
Instructions:
  • Please register for the Recruiting Fair by clicking here. Click on Register and when your request is submitted, the AASSA office will be informed and go into the system to allow you to proceed. This step is to protect against unauthorized registrants! You will receive an email from us when you are cleared to login and complete your online application.
  • Make hotel reservations by clicking here.You will receive a confirmation email of your booking from AASSA once we have made your reservation. Regular rooms are $89+13% tax/night and 22 suites are available to recruiters at $109+ 13% tax.
  • Candidates often make a decision whether to attend the fair, or not, based upon the posted vacancies. Please list potential positions as early as possible and be sure to keep your vacancy list current by updating vacancies online.
  • Please promote the AASSA Fair to your own staff members seeking another job in our region and help to increase the size of our fair by recommending attendance at our fair to candidates who contact you directly and referring them to AASSA
On-line Access:

Directors should plan to bring a laptop to the recruiting fair so that they can access the AASSA Recruiting Fair site.  Those with a wireless connection will be able to access the AASSA website directly.
Fair Costs:

Full Members:
            Registration:  $500
            Fee Per Candidate Hired:  $250

Invitational Members:
            Registration:   $1,000
            Fee Per Candidate Hired:  $ 500

Non-members:
            Registration:   $2,000
            Fee Per Candidate Hired:  $ 1,500

Meals:

Recruiters will be provided 2 breakfast vouchers and 2 lunch vouchers for Friday and Saturday as part of the package. All other meals will be the responsibility of the individual.

Register Online and List Your Vacancies as Soon as You Know Them:
Candidates decide to attend a fair, or not, based upon the vacancies listed. Because our fair is early in the season, it’s all the more important to list both tentative and definite vacancies ahead of time so that candidates can see potential positions.
